Mobile ID / Sun Card

If you do not have a Sun Card or Mobile ID already, start here --> Mobile ID Instructions

If you are having trouble accessing the BCLS building with your existing Sun Card or Mobile ID, submit this form --> https://forms.law.asu.edu/bclsda

Sun Cards (ASU ID)

A physical Sun Card remains active for five years by default.  If you are having trouble accessing the BCLS building with your existing Sun Card, it may have expired. The physical Sun Card can be reactivated by submitting the https://forms.law.asu.edu/bclsda form.

Did you get a new Phone or has your existing phone been reset?

Mobile ID

The Mobile ID is tied to your device. When you purchase a new phone or reset your existing phone, it breaks the connection between the Mobile ID and your device. Your Mobile ID will no longer work on the building door readers. Follow the steps below to restore your building access on your new device.

Android:

When you get a new phone, follow these steps.

    1. Log in to the ASU Mobile App
    2. Select “Manage your card”
    3. Click “Clear Previous Credential”
    4. You should now see an option to add to your device. Press “Add to device”.
    5. Once these steps are complete, submit this form to ensure access is applied to your Mobile ID: https://forms.law.asu.edu/bclsda

Apple:

When you get a new phone, follow these steps.

    1. The previous Mobile ID needs to be removed from your Apple Wallet. If you wipe your phone, it will clear the Mobile ID from your Apple Wallet, but if you are using iCloud, it might still be listed there as well. The old Mobile ID will need to be removed from your iPhone, iCloud, and, if applicable, your Apple Watch.
    2. Once the Mobile ID has been cleared from your iPhone, iCloud, and, if applicable, your Apple Watch, log out of the ASU Mobile App.
    3. Log back into the ASU Mobile App. You should see an option to add your Mobile ID to Apple Wallet. Press “Add to Apple Wallet”. If you are using both an iPhone and an Apple Watch, you will need to complete this process for each device.
    4. Once these steps are complete, submit this form to ensure access is applied to the Mobile ID on your new device: https://forms.law.asu.edu/bclsda

Want to move to a Mobile ID?

If you have an existing Sun Card and would like to move to a Mobile ID, stop by the Sun Card office in the downtown UCENT building. They will deactivate your existing Sun Card and assist with obtaining a Mobile ID. Once you have the Mobile ID, submit this form: https://forms.law.asu.edu/bclsda to ensure building access has been applied to your new Mobile ID.
